SafeSKYDROP™, CE certified, is a precision-engineered “Private Vertical Egress System” designed to help users safely escape from high-rise buildings. It uses a controlled mechanical braking system and a stainless-steel integration to ensure a smooth, steady vertical egress without free fall or failure.
Yes. The system is built for zero training use. The whole device setup comes in a hydraulic-opened aluminium picture frame that adds to the aesthetics of the place.
Simply anchor the device frame on an RCC wall in a balcony or beside a window — it looks like a picture frame only.
When in use, open the frame, attach the harness hook to the descender, wear it around the user’s chest under the arms and slide in the lock towards the chest, and step off the ledge. The device automatically controls the descent speed for complete safety.
The system is built with high-strength materials and industrial-grade components, allowing it to support a wide range of user weights.
It is tested to EU EN341:2011 standards for the range 30 kg – 100 kg.
No. SafeSKYDROP™ is a fully mechanical emergency device. It does not rely on power, batteries or electronics — ensuring reliability even during fire, smoke or total power failure.
The device itself is multi-use. For example, a family of 6 (4 adults + 2 kids) from the 6th floor can escape within 5–7 minutes with this device, back to back.
The life-line length, conditions, tensile strength, wall-edge bruises and usage conditions determine replacement needs. After every descent, a quick safety inspection is recommended.
SafeSKYDROP™ is designed with a dual-end rope system, allowing continuous use by multiple people like a shuttle. The steel life line has two hooks — one on each end. When the first person descends using one hook, their downward movement automatically raises the opposite hook back to the starting point. This works like a controlled see-saw mechanism, enabling the next person to immediately attach and descend without manual resetting.
This design ensures fast, continuous evacuation for families, hotel guests or office teams — one person descends while the other side returns to the top, ready for the next user.
SafeSKYDROP™ uses a manual rope management system, not an automatic retraction mechanism. The wire roll is tightened on a roller support within the frame, which enables the roll to rotate manually. (Refer to the gallery section.)
After a descent, the rope is manually wound back, rotating counter-clockwise onto the device. This design ensures maximum reliability, as it avoids motors, springs and complex parts that can fail during emergencies. The device remains simple, durable and always ready for the next use after a quick inspection and rewinding.

No. SafeSKYDROP™ is not a pulley. It is an innovatively engineered controlled-descent device that automatically manages your speed during an emergency escape. A pulley only redirects movement, whereas Safe Skydrop uses a precision-built, fully integrated internal rotary mechanism that actively regulates descent speed, ensuring a safe and controlled evacuation from height.
SafeSKYDROP™ is compact and can be kept in apartments, hotel rooms, offices and high-rise facilities. It can be pre-installed near windows, balconies or emergency exit points, and accessed instantly during a fire or emergency.
SafeSKYDROP™ has a shelf life of up to 7 years under normal storage conditions. The device is completely maintenance-free and does not require any lubrication or oiling for the descender.
However, an annual inspection is strongly recommended to ensure the device is stored correctly, remains in perfect working condition, and to prevent any human errors in handling.
